Bad Mom!
So I am a super bad mom! I totally forgot to blog about Derrek's birthday and to top it off, I really didn't take any pictures from that day. So here is to my little guy, who I love tons---HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!
Derrek absolutely loves to draw and create stories of any kind. So his whole birthday was drawing stuff and anything to do with drawing.

We decided to get him his very own desk to put in his room and some accessories to go with it. This is what he is opening right now.

He also needed a chair to go with it, and that is what this is.

Creative Cursing!

So Saturday Derrek wanted to go to Borders and browse the books for part of his birthday celebration (I know we really know how to party when it is someones birthday) Anyway after about an hour in the store Rylie is getting restless and is asking for just about anything on the bargain book isle that is for kids. Well she picked up a particular book and kept begging for it and held on to it for a very long time. With all the other stuff she asked for when she got the answer "no" she put that item right back. Not this book, she browsed the store with it clenched tight in her hands even had a few "mopey" moments behind a book rack when we told her no. She even surprised a lady standing at the isle where she was sulking who turned to us and told us that Rylie was really trying to work the system. We finally had her come over and asked to see the book that she just had to have and this was it--Creative Cursing. We just about died over laughing to death. How could she pick this book of all the books around her, this book to hold onto and pout about not getting it. So we took her picture with Drew's phone and called it a day.

Red Ribbon Run
Last year when we moved to Logan we found out about this Red Ribbon Run they do every year. So we signed up through the school and did it--on Derrek's birthday. I was the only one that did the 5k and Drew pushed Rylie in the stroller and he and the 2 boys did the 1 mile. They ran the whole way and did so good that we decided we would run this race every year as a family and do the 5k. Well we did it and the boys did so awesome at it, they were on such a high AFTERWARDS for doing it. I am very proud of them and hope that our running together continues and maybe we can all do a 10K together or even a half. Anyway it was lots of fun and really cold, but worth it.

Rylie's Gymnastics
This year we decided it was Rylie's turn to do something instead of sit on the sidelines for her older brothers. We gave her the option of dance or gymnastics and she chose gymnastics in hopes of learning how to do a back bend and a cart wheel. She is loving it so much, it is really laid back but perfect for a 3 year old. Today she learned how to listen, stretch, do the crab walk and the log roll. In 8 weeks we will see what else she has learned, hopefully a cart wheel. She has gone 3 times now and after each one she has said, "mom, they are not teaching me how to do cart wheels!" So I hope for her sake she learns at least that.

Our first snow
Here is proof of what a wonderful morning it was at our house. We had snow flakes down at our house, but nothing that would stick, but look at the mountains right out side my back door. I am not ready for this.

FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL
Here is our little princess on her first day of preschool. She was soo excited to go. I told her that she would leave a little after the boys left for school. Shouldn't have done that. They leave at 8:35 and for the next hour all I heard were cries because I said she would go as soon as the boys did. She loves her little preschool and it is so neat to see her so grown up, wow how time flies.

This Picture was actually taken a little while ago, but my princess seems to think some days she is just fine with out a nap. This day she begged me to stay up and she was being so cute--at the moment--that I caved. Oh did I pay for it later, talk about the melt downs--and Rylie is not one to have many of these. This was taken around 5pm, tell me does she still need a nap??? She fell asleep while I was making the most sound you could make.
