Today was Nathan's Birthday and he was busy from the time he woke up until the time he went to bed. It was quite the day and we still have stuff we need to do to make up for it. Drew took the day off work and so we started the day off with Drew cooking a "big" breakfast and opening presents. He got a Tom Brady Jersey, he is a huge fan of this football QB. He also got a U of U, he loves the U too, but I think that is more because it is opposite what Derrek likes and he always has to go the other way just to bug him. He also got his basketball standard, YEAH!! This was a favorite, he has been going to Canyon Elementary as often as we would take him to shoot hoops but that just wasn't often enough. Now he can go out and shoot anytime he wants. Sorry Woodbrey family, Nate is anxious to get moving in the morning and he has already been caught out there shooting hoops at 7am. In some of the pictures Rylie just had to be center of attention, that camera came out and she went right in front of it ready for it to shoot her and no one else. I think Derrek was feeling a little out of the loop too, seeings how he took some silly pictures too. We then were off to swim team practice for Derrek. When we came home we headed home to put together the basketball hoop, what we thought would be a snap, not so much. Luckily we had our friend Gary close by and he came to the rescue and 3 hours later it was up and ready to play. Nathan didn't care too much, he was down stairs playing Mario Kart on the WII, which is one that I highly recommend. For lunch we went to Wingers, a favorite of Nate's. I am sure most of it is because they serve you pop corn, but what ever. After all that it was off to baseball games, both Derrek and Nate had a game. Finally it was time to be at home for cake and ice cream. Yes the cake is homemade and you can totally tell. I spent a lot of time outlining that stuff to have it turn out small and misshapen, oh well he didn't mind. I am obviously no professional.
Happy Birthday Nate, we love you.
