Spring Baseball!!!

Spring Baseball??? Try winter baseball and it has begun. Derrek this year is playing for the Indians and is really loving it. Last night was his first game and boy was it cold. I think it was probably 35 outside but then the wind made it an even more pleasant night. We tried to support him through the game but Rylie and mom did have to go take a warm up session in the car. This is Derrek's first year at team-pitch and I think this will either make it or break it for him. The rules kind of change for him this year and it will be interesting to see if he enjoys it more or gives up the sport. He is trying out the "catchers" position this year and did a fabulous job at it in last nights game. For those of you who know Derrek know that he enjoys dressing up when the chance arrives and so we can't help but wonder if he really does want to play catcher or if he looks at it as an opportunity to put on some loot. We will see. It was his first full game at playing catcher and they were so cold I am sure no one could feel their fingers, so they all did fairly well. He is number 4 and feels quite proud to be this particular number. His favorite football player (Brett Farve) is also number 4 so he thinks this is a great link to him. Here are some other pictures of the night, some are posed and some are of Derrek in full action as catcher.
